XpertTech films Tornado forming and heading towards Lynn, MA

Something entertaining is always taking place at the XpertTech headquarters, but nothing prepared the office for what took place early Wednesday afternoon.

Weather warnings went into effect and severe thunder storms started around 1:30pm in the greater Boston area. Glancing out the window, one could see the dark clouds beginning to roll in. A few members of the XpertTech team stepped outside to witness the lightning display, but in a few minutes things went from entertaining to extraordinary.

Thanks to quick thinking and a social media mindset, Kelsey Curtis, Marketing Assistant, began filming the storm on her smart phone. As the black clouds began to twist and form an ominous funnel cloud, everyone watching realized this was the real deal.

In the video, one can clearly see what looks like a tornado forming over the Lynn area.

The video was picked up by WBZ, WCVB, WHDH, FOX25 and WBUR, and was sent to the National Weather Service for analysis.
